Stop eating after one cookie? No way. With the help of a simple trick that a US study has now determined, this will no longer be a problem.
You have already tried one or two diets – but none of them really works? Then try a simple trick that scientists from Brigham Young University and Colorado State University have now discovered. According to this, losing weight is not about telling yourself not to do something, but about listening to yourself. Literally.
Study: Eating loudly helps you lose weight
The new study questioned whether one’s own noise level during eating has an influence on eating behaviour. For this purpose 182 participants were asked to eat cookies in three different ways: As loud as possible, as quiet as possible and normally loud. The result: Not surprisingly, the noisy eaters ate significantly less than the other groups. However, the quietly eating test persons also ate significantly fewer cookies.
In principle, it is therefore advisable to concentrate more on yourself during the mealtime. Those who are distracted or in front of the television eats, doesn’t even notice how much he actually ingests. Better for the body and the desire to lose weight is to concentrate on your own sounds.
