The waterproof mascara just won’t come off? We’ve seen this… But with this professional trick the rubbing is over – finally!
Waterproof mascara is friend and foe at the same time. On the one hand, it keeps the momentum all day long and can even survive a sports session. On the other hand, it feels like it takes 56287359803427 years to get it off our lashes. Good news: This is going to change now (hopefully) with the ultimate professional trick.
Eyelash Cocktail
Make-up artist Nick Barose makes up stars like Priyanka Chopra and Lupita Nyong’. In an interview with INSTYLE.com, he revealed his super simple yet ingenious trick on how to get waterproof mascara off quickly – without burning eyes and falling eyelashes:
Start with a layer of normal mascara as a base coat, then apply a second layer with a waterproof formulation. This helps to seal the lashes with a waterproof layer, but it is much easier to remove.
We know: There are some people out there who certainly do it, but not everyone knows this trick. It is absolutely LIFE-CHANGING! We would recommend you to use an extending mascara as a base, like the Honest Beauty Extreme Length Mascara or the L’Oréal Paris False Lashes Extensions Mascara. Afterwards, apply a waterproof mascara, which should mainly provide volume. Here, for example, you can use Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara from Lancôme or Lash Princess False Lash Effect Waterproof from essence. So you have the best of both worlds.
One thing is for sure: We will definitely try this trick right away. Of course you have to find out for yourself which mascara cocktail works best for your lashes. Not every product works equally well for everyone.
