Large pores often appear in the nose and chin area and sometimes make us desperate. But this has now come to an end. We’ll tell you how to reduce large pores and create an even skin texture.
How do large pores actually form?
Our pores are the air holes of our skin and ensure that it can breathe. However, sweat and sebum are also transported through these small openings in our skin. Small pores are usually not noticeable in the face at first. Only when excessive sebum and cornifications are produced do the pores become clogged and they become more visible.
Over time, the skin’s collagen and elastin production also decreases – even in the pores. As a result, the tissue relaxes, the openings widen and pores become more visible. But don’t worry: the following tips and tricks show how to reduce large pores and create an even skin texture.
Reducing large pores: Which care?
It is important to remove dirt, make-up and sebum from the skin every day. So nothing can get stuck in the pores and stretch them. A micelle water is ideal for deep cleansing. Plus point: Blackheads, pimples and impurities are also reduced. In addition, you should regularly remove dead skin cells from the skin with a peeling or a face brush. These can otherwise settle on the pores and prevent sebum from running off. We show you how you can even do an exfoliation yourself. Sebum jam? Not with us!
Retinol is a popular ingredient that is known to stimulate cell renewal. It is also said to cleanse large pores, shrink them and create an even complexion. If you wish, you can also use a mask from time to time to cleanse the pores in depth. Healing earth is particularly suitable for this. And best of all: Healing earth is one of the classic masks that don’t cost much. For those who want to save a little more, we have instructions on how to easily make face masks themselves.
Reduce large pores: How about a primer?
The good thing about primer: it consists mainly of silicones that lie on the skin like a veil without clogging the pores. On the contrary! The primer acts as a barrier between skin and make-up, so that particles cannot get into the pores and expand them. In addition, the skin is optically smoothed and the primer thus creates a perfect base for the foundation.
Reduce large pores: Which make-up?
Make-up is the perfect tool to cheat a porcelain-like complexion. It is important to choose a product that does not get stuck in the skin pores and can clog the pores. Mineral make-up in powder form is ideal because it is easier to apply without getting stuck in the pores. Mattifying make-ups are not only ideal for quickly oily skin. They also have the great advantage of absorbing light. This means that no shadows can form on the face. The light textures of BB and CC creams are also particularly suitable for concealing large pores without closing the air holes.
Reducing large pores: Are there any household remedies?
A lemon mask helps to shrink large pores and can be easily made at home. All you have to do is squeeze the juice of a lemon and mix it with a tablespoon of water. Then apply to a cotton wool pad and treat the affected areas. Allow it to work on the surface of the skin for an hour and then wash it off with cold water. The fruit acid ensures free skin pores and makes them look smaller.
You can also open pores with an almond mask and cleanse them. For the mask, simply mix three tablespoons of ground almonds with a little water to create a thick paste. Here too, the mask is then only applied to the affected areas. After half an hour everything can be washed off with warm water. The result is impressive: velvety skin with only two ingredients that probably everyone in the kitchen has.
