Mom Power: How to Get Your Strength Back

When everyday family life leaves you tired and stressed, this will rebuild you!

Most of the time we spend our time paying attention to others and putting ourselves behind. But that doesn’t really help anyone. Because at some point, Mommy has to fill up! So put the kids down or hand them over, put the cell phone aside, let the fifth straight and just take a little time out. That can work wonders!

Home Spa

Candles on, tub full, fragrance oil in and switch off! For a more intensive effect, turn on meditative or simply “chillaxing” (yes, we also learn something from the children!) music. Wonderful!

Energy Check

At the doctor’s, a blood test can help determine if important vitamins for power are missing. Vitamin D and B may be lacking over the winter or longer periods of stress. If this is indeed the case, taking them can help against fatigue and irritability. Full speed ahead!

Regain strength

Today there is no stressful meal at work or with the kids. Time out! (when the kids are asleep, ordering sushi or eating out of the office and on the park bench) And enjoy your feel-good meal in peace and quiet and without disturbances. Make you strong for the next hours!

Power Walk

Ask the neighbour or your partner as soon as he walks in the door. And then walk around the block, breathe the fresh air and consciously look at your surroundings. The trees, the grass, a lake or the sky. After that you will have more power for the mom list in your mind and maybe you have already found a solution for one or the other problem on the way without thinking about it. Indigenous peoples call this Freedom Walk and practice it consciously to find answers. Magical!

Dance Dance Dance!

Music on, forget about yourself and dance away. Also works with the kids as a power station for in between. Nobody has to look good! Legs and hands can fly – this releases tension and improves blood circulation for extra power. Yeah!

Freedom!

Create a feeling of freedom. This can simply be a venture without pram, shopping bag etc., with free hands, or a bicycle tour alone, a boat trip or a walk in the forest. But sometimes it is enough if mum can do the shopping all by herself. Peace!

Take time out

Why not take a day off? Just like that, on your own. Not because there’s anything pending. Just because you need to take a little time for yourself. And if you can’t manage to be at home without doing the housework and stuff, you have to go out and stroll. Dolce far niente!
