Micro Manicure is the name of the nail polish trend of 2021. What exactly it is – and how you can copy it, we reveal to you here.
2020 – the year of tackling. After all, at times we had to save even the seven-week-old manicure or cut off the split ends of our hair. However, the whole thing also had something good: We try out more again. We promise you, you will also want to try the ultimate nail polish trend for 2021, because it is super easy!
Micro Manicure – The most beautiful nail art trend 2021
While in 2020 rainbow nails and monochrome designs were all we wanted, in 2021 we’re going for a trend that’s been around before. Micro Manicure – also known as Micro French – is the new big thing in nail art.
In principle, the Micro Manicure looks just like typical French nails – except that the colored tip is ultra thin at the front. Thus, the nail design is not so striking, but rather discreet and hardly visible at first glance. Since the tip should be as fine and thin as possible, you can of course not simply paint with the nail polish brush on it. This nail design requires a steady hand and precision.
Micro Manicure: This is how it works
- Apply a neutral or transparent polish as a base on your nails and let the whole thing dry well. It looks especially nice when the polish gives a hint of pastel color to the nails. So it looks particularly neat in the end.
- Now put a blob of the color varnish on a glass plate or coaster.
- Apply some color with a very fine, narrow brush. This can be a nail art brush, for example, but a pointed eyeliner brush should also do the job.
- Now paint along the nail edges with the brush. Depending on the shape of the nails, the Micro French can of course be straight or rather round.
Tip: If you have problems drawing lines of equal thickness on both hands, you can use a somewhat unconventional trick. Simply put a dab of nail polish on your thumb (not on the nail, but on the skin on the inside). Now simply run your inked thumb along the nail edges of the other hand. This makes a beastly mess at first, but it actually makes the line really accurate and straight. Don’t worry, you can simply wipe off the excess polish with a cotton swab and some nail polish remover.
