  • The manifold effects of ginger are undisputed. The ginger root from Asia has also made a name for itself here for many years. However, the oil of the root is even less widespread.
  • Essential oils are mainly obtained from steam distillation. For this purpose, the root is cut into small pieces and processed with special tools to extract the essential oil from the pores.
  • In a boiler with steam, the pieces are finally stimulated so that the oil comes out.

Ginger Oil for Colds

Make Your own Ginger Oil

  • 250 ml olive oil
  • 100 g ginger (fresh)
  • Pot
  • Sieve
  • Bottle
  • Cheese grater

There are different ways to produce ginger oil. One possibility: Peel the ginger and grate it into the pot. There you mix it with the oil and cook the pot at low temperature for about two hours.

Then take the sieve and pour the oil into the bottle, where it should continue to mature for about two weeks.
