Our feet carry us through life – about 130,000 kilometers. Add to that thick socks in winter and flip-flops with a subterranean bad footbed in summer. Who wonders about calluses and calluses on the heels. That’s why we should also give them an extra portion of care. Because when your feet feel good, you not only go through life easier, you can also look forward to soft soles.

1. Foot peeling with honey and sugar
Effect: Disinfecting, heals cracked areas on the feet and helps against dry skin.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
That’s how it’s done
- Mix the sugar with the honey.
- Peel the feet with the honey-sugar mixture.
- Rinse well.
2. Foot peeling with sea salt
Effect: Removes dead skin cells, supplies dry skin with valuable minerals, vitamins B and E and nourishing oils.
Ingredients
- 1/4 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
By the way: The sea salt can also be exchanged for common salt.
That’s how it’s done
- Crush the avocado with a fork.
- Mix the texture with the remaining ingredients and massage the feet with it.
- Then wash them thoroughly.
3. Foot peeling with coffee grounds
Effect: With the coffee grounds you can remove dead skin flakes and calluses. The olive oil makes dry areas supple again.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
That’s how it’s done
- Mix the ingredients together.
- Apply the foot peeling and massage in.
- Rinse thoroughly with water.
Tips for using foot peeling
- Treat your feet to a relaxing footbath before (or after the peeling). The skin will be beautifully soft, calluses can be removed more easily and the care substances can be better absorbed later. Optimal is 15 minutes at a maximum of 38 degrees. Bath additives with menthol or lemon myrtle also have an invigorating effect and reduce swollen feet and ankles. Afterwards dry off well – also between the toes!
- The foot peeling should be at body temperature – this is the best way to spread it on the skin. The feet also receive a foot reflexology massage at the same time.
- Finally, pamper your feet with a rich cream or foot mask. For care and protection, moisturizing products (e.g. with urea or jojoba oil) are best suited. For a particularly caring effect: Put on socks and go to bed.
