Often less is more! Especially when it comes to our summer makeup routine. It only takes a few simple steps to underline your sun-kissed complexion. Here is the proof…
In summer, make-up has to be one thing above all else – suitable for heat. Anyway, it’s not only when it comes to clothes that people tend to approach things more easily on hot days. Our skin would rather breathe, the make-up shouldn’t float away and then we shouldn’t forget the sun cream! The good news is that make-up can also be adjusted to the weather. We will tell you which make-up look is perfect for hot summer days.
1. The right day care
Let’s start with the most important part: the sun protection. Face creams that have a high sun protection factor but still have a light texture are ideal for this. Hybrid day creams combine just that – protection against UV radiation and light, moisturizing care. So you are perfectly equipped for a sunny day.
2. Light foundation
Sure, in the summer many people prefer to do without their foundation. However, there’s nothing wrong with wearing some. As long as it’s not too thick and melts in the heat or even gets lumpy. So it is recommended to use a light formula here as well. A BB cream is ideal. Make sure that the foundation has a matt finish, because on hot days the skin usually shines more anyway.
3. Soft contours and a little blush
In summer it is enough to define your face rather discreetly. Usually our skin on the sun terraces of our face (bridge of nose, cheek bones, forehead) is a little tanned anyway, which alone provides a radiant, sun-kissed complexion. If you want to play with a little color, you are welcome to apply shimmering rouge to your cheeks. The small glitter particles reflect in the sun and provide an extra fresh touch.
4. Eye shadow in nude
Eye shadow is also not a must, but those who want to can try nude tones. Classic shades of beige and brown bring out our eyes and make them shine. A great trick is also to use your rouge as eye shadow. This ensures a great all-round look.
5. Tinted lip balm
In summer you can experiment wonderfully with bright lipsticks. Pink, Peach, Rosé – you name it. For a simple everyday look, tinted lip balms are also useful. They moisturise the lips and also ensure a natural colour result. This completes the look and makes our make-up ready to withstand the heat.
