Whether bright red or a natural nude look – we all want shiny, full lips. Here are the best tips.
1. Basic work
Sun, wind and air conditioning dry out the delicate skin of the lips quickly. To make it smooth and supple again, care sticks with vegetable oils, panthenol, vitamin E and aloe vera are the right thing. They form a fine protective film and thus keep the natural moisture in the skin. Anyone who is outdoors a lot needs care with UV filters. Lip peelings and a small massage with a toothbrush are also great preparation for lip make-up.
2. Super trick with X
You can use this trick to make your upper lip fuller and optimize the shape of your lips: use a lip liner to draw an X on your lips before you apply the actual lip color or gloss.
In general, when it comes to lip color, light colors plump up the lips, while dark tones make them narrower. Light, warm nuances such as apricot or salmon are particularly suitable for cheating, dark brown tones, cool pink or magenta are less suitable.
Good adhesion
As with every coat of paint, the same applies to lip painting: The surface must be smooth, dry and free of grease. Immediately before, therefore, do not apply a care stick. The lip make-up is more durable and even with a beige special primer. To make sure that the color lasts a long time, matte longlasting colors are good, over which a gloss is simply applied. Practical: Brushes with integrated color, which can be easily distributed. Wipe away small flaws immediately. After drying, it is best to use a cotton swab dipped in eye make-up remover.
Painting over wrinkles
Some don’t get it at all, others already at 35: vertical wrinkles over the upper lip. A colorless lip pencil is ideal so that the lip color does not run. The transparent frame emphasizes the shape of the lips and works like an invisible barrier that prevents the lipstick from settling. Masks and fillers for the mouth area slightly plump up lines and wrinkles and form the ideal basis for making up lips.
The new push-ups
So-called lip plumpers should visibly plump up the lips. For this purpose, for example, water-containing collagen molecules, which normally cannot penetrate the skin due to their size, are dried out until they have shrunk to miniature size, and then worked into a gloss. When applied, the micromolecules are supposed to migrate into the skin of the lips, absorb the body’s own moisture and inflate to 50 times their size. Peptides smooth dryness lines and make the lips appear fuller.
Full lips – this is how it works
You can’t conjure up an Angelina Jolie pout out of thin lips. But you can cheat your lips a bit fuller. Use a lip liner to trace the contours on the outer edge. Paint on the upper lip from the corners of the mouth to the middle, so that there is no sloping line. Paint the mouth with lipstick in the same tone. Finally, dab transparent gloss onto the middle of the upper and lower lip. This gloss reflects the light and immediately gives more volume. Great: Gloss with strass particles that make the full lips sparkle.
