The body sends us signals from time to time, to which we do not always pay attention. However, anyone suffering from these five symptoms should be careful.
Dizziness after the workout
After a strenuous workout it is normal to be a little tired. However, if you are really dazed, at best you have drunk too little or trained too hard or at the wrong temperature. Have you considered these factors and never fought with dizziness? Then this symptom could indicate a problem with the heart. There are two possible culprits: an irregular heartbeat or a problem with the heart valves, which act as valves in the heart to keep the blood flowing in the right direction.
Diarrhoea in the middle of the night
If you suffer from diarrhoea in the middle of the night, it is possible that you have eaten the wrong thing – or a temporary indigestion. However, it could also indicate a serious illness, because: At night your internal organs should be at rest, as you relax, sleep and do not eat anything that could cause problems. If you regularly get up in the night and take the shortest route to the toilet, an inflammatory bowel disease or intestinal infection could be the cause. To be on the safe side, you should make an appointment with a gastroenterologist.
Unintentional weight loss
Unintentional weight loss, i.e. without a conscious change in diet, rarely indicates something good. The affected person could suffer from Crohn’s disease, a chronic and intermittent inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. In this case, losing weight is accompanied by symptoms such as diarrhoea and general malaise. Weight loss could also indicate diabetes type 1 – an examination of the blood sugar levels provides information. Anyone who has lost more than five kilos in the past six months should definitely see a doctor. Such weight loss could be a first sign of cancer.
Heavy bleeding despite regular period
The bleeding comes regularly, but you have to change the tampons every hour? Then don’t take it lightly. Severe bleeding could be a symptom of uterine fibroids, benign tumors that originate in the muscles of the uterus. About 25 percent of women after the age of 30 have myomas, about 25 percent of them have symptoms. If the growths cause discomfort or become too large, it is advisable to start treatment. Other causes of heavy menstrual bleeding: polyps, hormone imbalances, inflammation of the uterus or fallopian tubes, and in the worst case, uterine carcinoma.
Change in vision
There are many causes for visual disturbances. In the most harmless case, the visual disturbance is based on a migraine attack or age-related long-sightedness. Either way, a change in vision is always a serious symptom that you should have examined by an eye doctor. Possible causes may include inflammation of the optic nerve, farsightedness or nearsightedness, eye tumour, cataracts or glaucoma. The sudden, painless loss of vision may also indicate a stroke.
