A cucumber mask is probably the classic when it comes to face masks. You can find out everything about the benefits and preparation of the mask here.
Make cucumber mask yourself: Preparation
Cucumber mask: Variant 1
- 100 gram organic cucumber
- 2 to 4 tablespoons of quark (organic)
- For dry skin as required: 1 tablespoon of cream (organic)
- Blender (alternatively a blender)
Tip: Pay attention to the organic quality, so that no pesticides get on your skin.
That’s how it’s done:
- Wash the cucumber under running water.
- Cut the cucumber (unpeeled) into small cubes and puree the vegetables to a creamy mass.
- Stir in the quark. If you have oily skin, it is best to use low-fat curd. On the other hand, if you have dry skin, it is best to use quark with a higher fat content and add a tablespoon of cream.
- Apply the cucumber mask to your cleansed, dry face. If you wish, you can also apply it to your neck and décolleté.
- Leave the mask on for ten minutes, then remove and rinse your face with plenty of water.
- Then treat your skin with a mild cream.
Tip: Apply the cucumber mask once or twice a week.
Attention: If you have an allergy to cow’s milk, the mask is not suitable.
Effect: In combination with curd cheese, you will find relief from irritated skin, as the mask has a calming effect. The cucumbers then provide appropriate moisture. The mask is a good solution especially for sunburn.
Cucumber mask: Variant 2
- Wash the cucumber under running water and then cut it into thin slices.
- Place the slices on your thoroughly cleansed and dry face: the eyelids, forehead and cheeks will look especially good.
- Remove the cucumber mask after 15 minutes.
Tip: Chilled cucumber slices on the eyelids revitalise burning or tired eyes. Just five to ten minutes are enough to make your eyes shine again.
Effect: Cucumbers consist of 96% water and are therefore a super moisturizer. They revitalise the skin and ensure a fresh appearance.
