The wrong hairstyle can quickly add a few years to the biological age. These 6 hair mistakes must be avoided!
1. The hair is too short
Short hair can look great and basically looks vital and young. But: Too short can have the exact opposite effect! Many women think that after a certain age they are no longer “allowed” to wear longer hair. So they gradually lose more and more centimetres.
We advise: A short bob that falls softly and is loosened by a few steps flatters every woman. Only a really good hairdresser should go for extreme short cuts like Pixie and etc. like that, who can judge whether the cut fits the face shape and hair structure.
2. The hair is too long
But in fact, long hair can also look a few years longer if the right cut is missing. If the hair just hangs down boringly and has no bounce, it lets the face “hang along” optically. Split ends and broken strands further support the unhealthy appearance.
We advise: Have it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks at the hairdresser and just below the collarbone. This way the hairstyle looks feminine, elegant and well-groomed.
3. The hair is too dark
A too dark colored Haarton often makes the features look hard and severe. With increasing age, the complexion looks unattractively pale with so much contrast. This is ageing from the colour tube!
We advise: Choose a maximum (!) of three shades darker than your own hair colour and make sure to use a dark-warm brown tone and then mix it with lighter shades. This results in beautiful light reflections. Cool shades of brown to black are usually much too hard for the complexion!
4. The hair is overstretched
You like to use straightening irons, curling irons and blow-dry your hair daily? This can damage your hair in the long run, especially if you do not use sufficient heat protection and other care products. The hair looks strawy and thinned at the ends.
We advise: Pamper your hair at least once a week with a cure or mask and always pay attention to heat protection when styling.
5. Too strict, accurate hairstyle
A middle parting and hair that is strictly tied into a braid or bun? A pony that accurately hits the forehead? Sleeke, strict or extremely cool looks make us look slightly older.
We advise: If you don’t want to give up the pony, choose one that’s a little longer and hits the forehead softly. Middle-crowned fans twist a few gently falling curls in their hair to make the facial contours look softer.
6. Too blonde
About one in three women regularly dye their hair blonde, many still associate it with youthfulness and attractiveness. But a wrong and too light blonde tone can make the complexion look pale, make it unnecessarily pale and emphasize wrinkles.
We advise: Choose a warm honey tone with light reflections that flatters the skin tone and makes the face glow gently.
