Even if we don’t even think about it just yet – summer comes faster than we can look. And because we are of course already thinking about the coming trends, we already know what we will all be wearing on our nails this summer.
We love lipstick nails
Lipstick Nails is called THE newest trend, which we will definitely all (at least almost all) fall for during the summer months. We already know the Ballerina Nails, Almond Nails and many more. So what can Lipstick Nails do – and why would we want to wear them?
Lipstick Nails means above all the form of the fingernails. It reminds us of a lipstick, so slightly bevelled. Admittedly, this is not necessarily common, as we usually tend to file and shape our fingernails very accurately and evenly. If a nail is crooked, we already get a freak-out inside. With lipstick nails, on the other hand, this is absolutely intentional and a must (+ the perfect emergency solution for those who simply can’t get their nails straight).

There is, however, another reason why we will all fly on the mould. In an interview with our colleagues from Instyle.com, nail stylist Kristin Gyimah reveals: “The shape of a lipstick is symbolic, it embodies the feeling of sexyness, femininity, empowerment and glamour.
You can wear the Lipstick Nails also with short fingernails, so they are perfect for everyday use. If you like the trend, you can test it easily: just file two nails in the slanted form. If you like the look, you can continue. If you find it horrible, then simply file the nails round or slightly square. If you find filing too difficult, you can also clip them into shape with a nail clipper. But important: Afterwards you still have to file them and especially polish them. As you can see, Lipstick Nails are not witchcraft. Besides: They are only fingernails, so you are allowed to experiment a little bit. The main thing is that you like it!
