You Should Not Combine These Foods

There are them – the food duos that are unhealthy or inedible. We’ll tell you which ones they are.

Whether breakfast, lunch or dinner: Most of the time we have our nutritional routines and do not think about which foods we combine. The bad news is that some delicacies react negatively with each other. Poor digestion, reduced vitamin/mineral intake or unpleasant taste can be the result.

Kiwi and dairy products

Have you ever wanted to make yourself a tasty kiwi yoghurt and after a short time you found out that the whole thing tastes quite bitter? It is completely normal! This is because an enzyme in the kiwi (actinidain) splits the milk protein that causes the bitter taste. Ayurvedic dietetics even advise against the combination of fruit and yoghurt completely, as the fruit starts to ferment and toxins are formed in the gastrointestinal tract.

Salad and low-fat dressing

Not a good idea, because the body needs fats to absorb the vitamins. So up with the olive oil!

Ferrous food and red wine

Whether a steak or a lentil stew – it is better not to drink red wine with it. Because it inhibits the absorption of iron, which is so important.

Dairy products and meat

A shake with the schnitzel? Better not. Two very high-protein foods make it pretty hard to digest. Even with baked goods, milk doesn’t go too well.

Spinach and cheese

Tastes good, but is not recommended. The reason: the calcium in cheese cannot be absorbed by the body as well – the oxalate in spinach prevents it.

Black tea and milk

Sorry, my dear Englishmen. As milk binds the healthy antioxidants of tea, the body unfortunately goes empty.

Alcohol and caffeine

What’s wrong with that? The caffeine can lead to the fact that one does not perceive the effect of the alcohol properly. Fatal!
