Get a tan faster? No problem at all with a few tricks! We’ll tell you five things that will instantly intensify your tan.
People who go on holiday usually always have the same thing in mind: Eat a lot, relax a lot and get a real tan. Unfortunately, not all of this always works out – especially the tan. We will give you 5 tips on how to get a tan quickly. And no, we’re not talking about self-tanners!
1. Tan maximizer
If you only have a few days to work on your holiday tan, you can fall back on tanning products. These products usually stimulate the skin’s natural melanin production by increasing light sensitivity. If you have particularly sensitive or very light skin, you should be careful. Some of them are also applied after sunbathing and prolong the release of melanin by certain formulations. The result: an even faster tan!
2. Cooling
Off into the water – there you can tan much faster than on land. The reflection of the water tans the skin faster. In addition, exercise also ensures that you tan evenly. So please do not make the roast chicken on the beach and turn once an hour. There are so many nicer things to do on the beach.
3. Beta-carotene
Our diet can also ensure a healthy and brown complexion. Yes, you have read correctly! Anyone who regularly takes beta-carotene will notice that their own skin colour turns slightly orange. We recommend taking about 30 mg beta-carotene daily over a period of three weeks. This makes the skin look more tanned. The perfect holiday preparation – and it’s healthy too!
4. Body oil
Tanning oil is an old friend that has already given many a sunburn. But: Meanwhile there are also oils with sun protection factor which protect the skin. This is a must anyway when we are in the sun. The reflection of the oil makes the tan more intense and we get tanned much faster. The only drawback is that the hands are quite sticky and greasy afterwards, so you better pack some wet wipes.
5. Peelings & Creams
Once we’re brown, the color should look as beautiful and natural as possible. Dry skin and dead skin cells make the tan look blotchy and ensure that it disappears quickly. Therefore, you should definitely exfoliate your skin before sunbathing and moisturize it regularly. After all, hours of sunbathing leave their marks – and we don’t necessarily want to see them.
