Many of us wear make-up every day – without exception. And that’s perfectly okay. However, there are a few situations in which we should really do without it. These are them:
1. At the gym
We all know this golden shelf, but we probably ignore it anyway: we shouldn’t wear make-up when doing sports. And no, we don’t mean a little eyebrow gel or lip balm. Foundation is the culprit here, bringing us impurities straight from hell. Especially strong covering foundations prevent the sweat from coming through properly. So impurities and clogged pores quickly develop. If foundation, then a light, mineral-based formulation is preferable, so that the skin can continue to breathe and above all sweat.
2. Impurities
If a pimple (or even several) spreads on the face, we immediately feel the need to cover it. The main thing is that nobody sees it! However, there are bacteria hidden in our make-up tools, which can make the inflammation even worse. It is therefore best not to apply any make-up at all until the inflammation has healed. If there is no other way, make sure you only use products from tubes or pump dispensers – not from open pots. That way everything remains hygienic. It is best to apply the product with freshly washed fingers.
3. On long flights
On the plane we like to take a nap – especially on longer flights. What most people don’t think about is that it’s just like going to bed with make-up on. The skin gets very dry on the plane anyway, so you should rather use the time for a care session. Just put on a cloth mask and take care of your skin as good as possible. She will thank you for it!

4. After swimming
Wearing make-up while swimming is actually not as bad as many people might think. It even creates a kind of barrier between skin and water, which is usually soaked with chlorine and other substances. What is much more bad for our skin is the mixture of make-up and skin contaminated by the pool. This can lead to irritation and impurities. HELP! That’s why you should never apply make-up directly after swimming – or clean your skin really carefully afterwards.
