Every country has different beauty trends – it’s logical that we look to the left and right. The Russian make-up skills are totally underestimated. We’ll tell you what we’re going to copy from them right now!
1. Cat Eyes
Have you ever wondered why the eyes of many Russian girls seem so interesting and captivating? We know it: it’s their eye make-up. The Russians usually pull their eyeshadows a little outwards to create a cat-eye effect. This makes the eyes look completely different. We can’t look away anymore.
If you want to use the trick, don’t wipe your eyeshadow up with the windshield wiper, but deliberately pull the color away from the eye. An eyeliner with wing supports this effect again.
2. Mess it Up
An accurate, perfect eye makeup? Not with Russian make-up professionals. They wear eye shadows, kajal and Co. anything but neat. But as soon as everything is blended, the result looks really good. And: you use your fingers. The Russian make-up artist Amanda Kokoeva usually first applies kajal to the upper lash line, blinds it strongly, and only then goes into the crease of the eyelid with matt eye shadow and dabs some shimmering eye shadow on the movable eyelid. The result: the hammer – even if you don’t have clean edges. We love the look!
3. Not in Order
Who says that we always have to follow a fixed routine during make-up? Right, nobody! And the Russians don’t do that either. Many make-up artists, for example, show on Instagram that they apply concealer only after foundation, cream contour, cremerouge and highlighter. The reason: The eye area is highlighted and accentuated even more.
4. Ultra Glossy Lips
Unlike in other countries, Russian women do not use matte lipsticks, but ultra glossy lips. This makes the lips look much bigger. Often we see almost a wet look or mirror effect on the lips. There are now dozens of products for this on the market. Nevertheless you should apply Lipliner before, then the contour is defined again and the result looks NOCH FULLER at the end. Try it out!
If you want to define your features or help conceal areas on your face with a light layer of makeup, go ahead.
